Recovery Support Services
A Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) is someone who has experienced living in addiction and recovery. The CRS collaborates with an individual in recovery creating individualized recovery plans and providing them with skills related to health, wellness, and recovery.
A Certified Family Recovery Specialist (CFRS) utilizes their own lived experience to help empower individuals to identify their strengths, and set goals. A CFRS may have experienced some of the same challenges and could bring a valuable perspective to you.
Each individual is entitled to their own pathway to recovery, and the CRS/CFRS will use their own lived experience to support and encourage them to overcome obstacles and obtain personal growth. The peer-to-peer relationships value comes from the understanding and identification between two people in recovery. This helps the individual learn to gain trust in others, opening the door for healthy and meaningful relationships.
